December News







December Pack Meeting


Thursday, 12/7/17


7-8 pm


O'Reilly Hall at St. Max


Join us for a fun evening as the Bear Den presents a Cub Scout Carnival!


Due to the carnival, we will not be presenting awards at the meeting this month.





No den meetings at the church this month.


Den leaders will contact you regarding where/when individual dens will be meeting.





Two December Flag Ceremonies


We have been invited by the Agoura Hills City Council to lead the flag ceremony at their special reorganization meeting on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. 


We will also be conducting the flag ceremony at the regular meeting on December 13th.

We desperately need more scouts to sign up to help with these flag ceremonies!





Fundraiser


The scouts have done a fantastic job with our lantern fundraiser.


All money must be turned in by 12/7/17. 


We will be drawing a raffle ticket for the BB Gun at the pack meeting!


All scouts who have sold 10+ lanterns will receive a clip on headlamp.

Santa Comes to Agoura


Final food drive event:  Saturday, 12/9/17


8:30-11:00 am


*Note:  This is the time posted by the event organizers.  There is a possibility the event may end earlier than 11am, especially if a lot of volunteers show up!


Scouts wear Class A uniforms.


Help bag and load donated food.


Sign up at event to make deliveries (optional).


This is a great, local cause and we would love to see many of our scouts there helping out.

Pack 227 will host an afternoon of Archery and BB Gun shooting at Camp Josepho

Santa Comes to Agoura Food Drive


Food donation collection day is Saturday, November 12th

Uniform Inspections


Thursday, November 17th during the Pack Meeting

First Aid Kit Fundraiser


All money is due at the Pack Meeting on 11/17/16.


Bring cash or checks made payable to BSA Pack 227.


Scouts will receive one raffle ticket for each kit sold. 


Sell 10 kits and get two extra raffle tickets.


The raffle will be held at the Pack Meeting.


If you can't attend the Pack Meeting, please arrange to turn in your money 


and get your raffle tickets BEFORE the meeting.   


We still have a few kits left if you'd like to sell more!

October Meetings and Events






October is here and our scouting program is in full swing!





Den Meetings:   Thursday, October 13th.  7-8 pm at St. Max.  Scouts wear full uniform.





Pack Meeting:  Thursday, October 20th.  7-8 pm at St. Max.  


Wear your Halloween Costume and join your Cub Scout friends for some Halloween fun and games!





First Aid Kit Fundraiser:  We will be kicking off our big fundraiser at the Pack Meeting on 10/20.  More information about the fundraiser coming soon!





Campout:  October 21-23 at Malibu Creek State Park. 


Deadline to sign up and pay for camping is Thursday, October 13th.


Don't miss this opportunity to spend some time in the great outdoors.  The entire family is welcome.  Fee for camping is $6 per person per night.  Payable by check to BSA Pack 227.

Lots of fun in store for our Cub Scouts this month!





March 5


Overnight on the USS Iowa.  All participants have received email information regarding what to bring and when to arrive.  Please remember to bring your health forms with you.  This should be a fun event for all.





March 9- Wednesday

Den meetings at St. Max

Tigers meet at 6:30 pm

All other dens meet at 7:00 pm



March 17- Thursday

Pack meeting.  7-8 pm at St. Max

Come and learn about the fun summer day camp opportunities offered by Boy Scouts of America.

Learn about the Friends of Scouting campaign.  Bring your checkbook if you would like to contribute to this worthy charity.

4/16/16  Saturday:  Pack Garage Sale Fundraiser

Location:   29011 Saddlebrook.  Agoura Hills.

Please start to set aside items now for the garage sale.  This is our only fundraiser of the year and we rely on all of our families to help out by contributing items and helping with the sale.  More details to follow.



4/21/16  Thursday:  Pack Meeting at St. Max
